Concorde Wheelchair Dancers were formed in the 1970’s. We still have one original member with us. Our dance teacher Hilary has been with us for 10 years. Hilary Jewel started coming along because her son Mark was one of our Dancers. Over the years we have had great success at Wheelchair Dance Festivals and have been Regional and National Champions in quite a few of the competitions we have entered.

As a team we have 11 wheelchair dancers of all ages (ranging from about 8 to mid sixties). We also have a team of able-bodied dancers who dance with some of us individually as couples or as a team in Phab dancing.

We met regularly every Monday at Page Hall, Staple Hill in Bristol from 7.30-9.30 pm and some us meet up on a Wednesday at Downend Day Centre, Downend, Bristol also from 7.30-9.30 pm.

We are a mainly adult team but now have two children (one who has been with us for over a year and one who recently joined us). Hollie, who has been with us the longest really enjoyed her first festival with us and as a child in an adult team did us all very proud.

Our main aim is to enjoy the dancing we do and we really enjoy each others company. As far as we are concerned if you can propel a wheelchair whether it be a manual or electric wheelchair then we welcome you.

We can be contacted through our website which is I can be contacted on telephone number 0117 3009615 or 01275 833541.
