Our group was established from June 2006. We have a core group of 7 child wheelchair users but at times include their parents and siblings.We dance most Sunday mornings from 10 - 12 at the Games Hall, Fife Institute, Glenrothes, Fife. We charge L3 per child.

Our first show was part of the Methilhill Gala day where we performed a selection of dances from our forthcoming Competition. Some pictures featured in the local paper.

Our first Competition was the Scottish Wheelchair Dancing Competition in Glasgow, June 2007. The Funky Fifers came home with Gold medals and trophies for the Team Dance, Formation and Phab dance. They also came home with 2 individual gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze for the Electric Disco.

The Funky Fifers received funding from the Children In Need Charity and was included in a Montage shown on BBC Television. We were also invited to be part of the live audience on the night.

Our second Competition was the British Wheelchair Dancing Competition in Blackpool, November 2008. The Funky Fifers were awarded Gold Medals and trophy for the Novelty. Individuals in the team were awarded 2 Gold medals, 3 Silver, 1 Bronze for the Freestyle, Electric Disco and Manual.
